I was hospitalized at the Mayo Clinic with a brain infection causing vertigo, nausea, and sever headaches.  Medical science could not treat my symptoms.  I left the hospital in as much distress and pain that I had when I was admitted a week before.  Even the strong pain medicines they prescribed could not take away the agony I was feeling. 

A couple of days later a dear friend of mine suggested her chiropractor.  She said his treatment had helped her remain migraine free!  I had always been skeptical of chiropractic care, and was hesitant to take her referral.  However, I continued to be in misery, and agreed to check it out.  The day I came to Johnson Spinal Care Associates, I couldn't even hold my head up due to the extreme pain and discomfort.  I had suffered from dizziness and headaches since 2001, when I had West Nile Virus, and this current infection was due to encephalitis. 

Then a miracle occurred!!  Within a matter of a couple of days, I was a new person.  The color returned to my face, I could hold my head up and not get sick, and the best part... I was headache free!!!!  This was truly a miracle!

The transformation I felt was unbelievable!  I don't know where I would be if it wasn't for Johnson Spinal Care Associates! The Dr's and Staff are amazing.  I am no longer a skeptic.  I can look at my X-rays and see the difference with my own eyes.  I am a changed person, and I am forever grateful!

In 1982 I began having migraines which over the next year became increasingly more intense and of longer duration.   Not only would the pain be intense, but I also had nausea and a lightheaded feeling with it.  I would make it through my work day and have to come home and lie down in the darkness in silence often times crying because of the pain.  I would maybe have a day or two where I did not have to take Tylenol.  At one point I was taking 16 Tylenol a day and this was only taking the edge off the pain, never completely eliminating it.

I went to my medical doctor in 1985 and he put me on Amitriptyline.  I took it daily. In the beginning the medication lessened the severity of the headaches but didn't cure them.  After 6-8 months the headaches intensified and by the end of the year I was back to where I was when I started taking the drugs.  Only now I was taking excessive amounts of Tylenol and Amitriptyline. The solution was to increase the dosage to the drug because my body was building up a tolerance to it.  After 3 years the drug was causing problems with my thyroid and the headaches were still there.  After looking up the side effects of the drug... one of which was headaches... I decided to quit the medications and just endure the pain. 

Years later my husband head about the benefits of NUCCA and encouraged me to go to Johnson Spinal Care Associates. An assessment was made of the correction needed and a treatment plan was set up for me.  I noticed a difference with the first treatment in that the pain and duration of my headaches lessened.  This continued to lessen throughout my treatment plan.  As of today I haven't had a migraine in over 5 months!!!!!

I found Johnson Spinal Care Associates while I was in college and have been a patient ever since.  I suffer from migraines as do my mother and grandfather.  I wanted to find a healthier way to treat them without drugs.  The upper cervical correction worked for me and the pain typically fades aways within a few hours, plus everything else in my body functions better after a correction. I highly recommend trying upper cervical correction instead of drugs, it has helped me a great deal.
